I am a photographer in Alexandria VA who focuses on capturing authentic moments.  As the mother of two girls, I document my world in a style reflecting life at it’s best, edited.  Fourteen years ago, I put a fast-paced management-consulting career on hold in favor of adventures in motherhood.  My photography melds both my creative eye and analytical obsession to create images representing our best memories.

My love of adventure drives my everyday life, but my creative work is not confined to the everyday.  Shooting in Africa, Asia and Europe, I am inspired to capture all facets of life. From special moments such as engagements, birthdays, corporate events, vacations and new births -- to the personal glimpses of the chaos of real life, I strive to capture your authentic moments.  I am energized by fast paced shoots that require split second decision making. From event and travel photography to capturing a fleeting newborn smile or chasing a toddler to capture a precious giggle, I love freezing a fleeting moment.

After a serious illness in our family, I became inspired to capture all the moments of our lives; the smiles, the tears and most importantly- the love we share.  We often remember events by visualizing a photograph and I strive to create beautiful, unique memories for you.  Please contact me with special requests, I photograph families in all stages of their lives.

From iPhones with thousands of images to the hundreds of vacation snapshots stuck on your digital camera, I recognize modern life is filled with visual clutter.  So instead of providing yet another glut of snapshots to be waded through, I choose to provide a carefully curated gallery of high-contrast, perfectly edited images.  These images will demand to be displayed, not confined to crowding a hard-drive in digital form. 

I love shooting in natural light, but my training allows me to take my lens wherever it needs to be!
